Dear Families of Perry Hall Middle School, As the new school year begins, so does our annual Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) membership drive. Why join our PTSA?...To benefit your child. In doing so, you’ll also help Perry Hall Middle School. More than 30 years of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and at school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. There’s a simple way to make these outcomes a reality for your child: Join PHMS PTSA. Today more than ever, schools are challenged to provide every child with the best education despite growing limitations. Budgets are tight—in most cases, shrinking—while government requirements are growing. Schools are challenged to do more with less. Over the years, our school has invited parents, teachers, students, staff, grandparents, aunts, uncles and business to be a part of the largest advocacy organization in the country, the PTA/PTSA. Now is your chance to join our dynamic association. Last year, Perry Hall Middle School PTSA sponsored many fun and worthwhile programs for the benefit of children, adults and staff. Those programs included:
With your support this year, we will continue to provide the same quality programs. Please join the PTSA for the 2007-2008 school-year and help us reach our goal of 1,500 members. Membership dues are just $5 per member. Each homeroom with 100% participation (the equivalent of at least one adult and one student membership per student) by October 31st wins a special party. Last year, Ms. Schneider's and Madame Erolano's homerooms won a breakfast party! Please fill out the bottom portion of this letter and return it to school with your dues in an envelope marked “membership”.
